How to create interactive and engaging online demos?

The UX design team discusses designing interactionand engagement within the Healsio classroom

In-person lessons at Healsio Cooking Classes made students feel involvedso they could connect with other people through food. But how much can an online class recreate that atmosphere? We decided to find out.

With reaction buttons and other tools, we focused on designing activities so that even if they’re online, participants could easily share their impressions, whether they want to ask a question, say how delicious a dish looks, or praise a fellow student for their work. When does a participant want to say something, and what is the easiest way for them to share? It can depend on the number of people and the recipe. We scrutinize those reactions from many angles to make continuous improvements.

Some people who live alone connect from home, while others go to a friend’s place and join from there. Now people who had difficulty attending in-person events can join again and again.

Healsio Cooking Classes continue evolving with an emphasis on inclusiveness for everyone.
