Design that conveys the upcoming step

This is an automatic transport robot that supports the task of selecting products in distribution warehouses. In warehouses with numerous short-term workers, we receive requests like “We want to reduce the amount of time explaining work details,” and “We want to reduce the number of selection mistakes.” In order to resolve these issues, I developed a GUI that enables understanding the selection process in a short amount of time. The key point is to “convey the upcoming step with images and sound.” I utilized a design that shows work procedures graphically and undertook multiple revisions through on-site usability tests. As a result, even beginners can proceed with tasks without error. In addition, I realized increased efficiency in the selection process by designing the management screen so that the progress status of each robot and work priority can be understood at a glance. I will be delighted if this proposal helps make the tasks of people working in warehouses easier.On weekends, I enjoy looking for stones with attractive shapes at places I go. Carefully observing the sizes, weights, colors and forms of the ones that I like in particular and discovering how they could be used is fun.I will take maternity leave this year. During this time, I look forward to having new discoveries and ideas!
