炊飯器KS-WM10B

「おうちでごはんを食べる時間を 何よりも大切にしたい」と思う人たちに向けてデザインしました。食卓に置いても、周りに並んだ食べ物たちがおいしそうに感じる「おひつ」のような炊飯器です。

I designed this for people who think, “Above all else, I want to value the time spent eating meals at home.” This rice cooker is like an ohitsu rice serving pot that makes the dishes set around it look delicious when placed on a dining table.

「おひつ」のように手で取り外せるフタと、おいしくお米が炊ける形の検討のために、1年半以上試作を繰り返しました。また、「おひつ」のような素材感に仕上げるため、外観の質感や色の一部は、協力会社の方々と力を合わせて素材を開発しています。

I experimented for over a year and a half in investigating a form capable of cooking delicious rice with a lid that can be removed by hand like on an ohitsu. Moreover, in order to give it a material feeling like an ohitsu, for some of the exterior feel and color, we developed material in cooperation with members of a partner company.

丁寧に細部までこだわった商品なので、この商品で炊いたごはんを召し上がったお客様から「おいしい！」という声を聞けた時は、とてもうれしい瞬間でした。ぜひ、皆さんの食卓に、このおひつ炊飯器を置いてみてください。きっと、いつもとは一味ちがった食事空間に変わりますよ。

Since I focused carefully on the finest details of this product, I was really delighted the moment when I heard a customer who ate rice cooked in it say, “It’s delicious!” I hope you will try putting this ohitsu rice cooker on your dining table. It will surely change your dining space with a flavor different from usual.

自宅近くの海でルアーフィッシングをするのが大好きです。釣りで、年齢も仕事も異なる多くの人たちと友だちになりました。そこでの刺激や新しい発見が、仕事のヒントにもつながります。また、釣った魚を家族で料理して、わいわい楽しく食事をすることも調理道具のデザインをするときのベースとなっています。

I love fishing with lures in the ocean near my home. Through fishing, I have become friends with numerous people of different ages and professions. Inspirations and new discoveries from this lead to hints for my work. Moreover, cooking fish that I caught with my family and eating boisterously and joyously with them is the foundation for my design of cooking tools.
