Being there for users

We work hard to ensure that AQUOS is an easy-to-use brand for each user, and we especially obsess over achieving audio quality that is easy to hear. For the CQ1 series as well, and in collaboration with our engineers, we repeatedly created prototypes for the reflector structure that projects sound outward, so as to optimize the ease in which sounds are heard by the user. We also designed the product in a way that ensures that the reflector does not overpower the rest of the product’s design, in order to maintain a simple AQUOS appearance that takes advantage of the slim OLED display panel. We were also mindful of users being able to focus on images and ensuring that the TV would fit into most living spaces. When creating the prototypes, we imagined how our TV might be used while standing up, sitting down, getting close to it, or moving away from it. We sought to create a balance between the sound and appearance from various angles and distances. We hope that those who thought that TVs were all the same can sense our obsession with user-friendliness.

As for my hobbies, on my days off, I often enjoy spending time in the great outdoors pursuing such activities as backcountry skiing, surfing, sea kayaking, and camping. I feel satisfied when I fully use my five senses and exploit my imagination so as to be one with nature. I hope this also helps me hone my imagination as a designer!
