COCORO HOME is a platform app that coordinates Sharp AIoT consumer electronics with the IoT products and services of other companies. Not only does it manage them, it also delivers lifestyle information suitable to the customer on the opening screen. For example, it could recommend and teach recipes to be made in a Healsio oven. This app could also allow users to watch over family members living in other places and to encounter other services related to new ways of living. In the design and development of the app, I struggled greatly with arranging the user interface because showing various information about more than 15 products and services was necessary even in initial estimates. “High flexibility” was a key design point. Rather than just preparing for things that were already linked, together with members of other divisions, I developed a flexible UI that could incorporate new products and services that could be linked in the future. I want to continue developing long-lasting services by making improvements based on various customer ideas.
Recently, I have been enjoying making music. Creating what I want and expressing what I want as I like is liberating and feels good. By the way, I composed the background music that is played on the Sharp Design philosophy page during my second year at the company. Please listen to it if you like.
