A form that wind flows through

These new dryers enable scalp care while drying hair. In the design of these products, I sought to help people feel that using them would make their hair beautiful and their scalps healthy. I used gentle, graceful lines for the body design, creating an image of beauty with strong wind blowing smoothly through it. With the hand of a person as the motif for the tips of the massager, I pursued forms that would enable both a good feel and massage effects while listening to the thoughts of head spa professionals. Furthermore, to convey these merits to customers, I have also poured effort into the design of their display stands. I even dedicated myself to the selection of materials and the lighting design for these stands so that they would convey intuitively the worldliness, sense of air, and the “nature technology” that is characteristic of these products. This display, which has been received favorably both inside and outside the company, is also being utilized at dryer trial events.

I enjoy books, reading a variety of genres from novels to cultural anthropology and other technical books. Right now I am absorbed in “Guns, Germs, and Steel,” which is a famous book about human history. I am also interested in traditional crafts, so on my days off, I visit craftspeople and listen to their stories and make things with them. These valuable meetings and experiences stimulate my curiosity as a designer every day.
