The moment an idea takes flight

This key visual was inspired by the renewal of our company’s COCORO MEMBERS site. I started visual development from the idea that we want to enjoyably convey a world in which users and household appliances are connected through AIoT (artificial intelligence and Internet of things) technologies. Originally, I had proposals that were not line drawings, but the current visual was chosen considering the ease of future expansion and utilization in all kinds of media. In the final stages, I examined the thicknesses and colors of lines, and steadily investigated design utilization with a variety of media. These efforts have paid off with this visual being used in numerous situations that I had not expected, including events and shows. To have visuals that started out drawn at my desk taking on lives of their own and growing greatly makes me very happy. I think that this is one of the real pleasures of visual communication! I want to make the visuals that are born next also soar powerfully with ideas from SHARP to everyone.

I am addicted to traveling to places that I have never been before. Experiencing the culture and food of that place is enjoyable, but when I find instances of local design, for example, my designer switch turns on in an instant. These little discoveries during trips also contribute to the foundations of my design.
