AQUOS R5G

The UX that tells a story

The AQUOS R5G is the first smartphone equipped with the Sharp-proprietary ultra-high-definition 8K image camera. Therefore, to develop the UX design, I did not include any complex elements, such as filter settings, and I designed the smartphone so that users can purely enjoy shooting beautiful images. Furthermore, utilizing 5G enables the instantaneous uploads of large 8K image data to the cloud, and we participated in the design of a system that allows images to be shared with loved ones on a large screen by utilizing Contents Downloader on a Sharp 8K TV. Even if it is just one photo or a movie of a few seconds, the more beautiful they are, the more realistically the stories of the subjects can be conveyed. For example, when you go out, you take pictures in 8K, upload them to the cloud, and enjoy the photos together with your family and friends, who are located elsewhere. I designed this smartphone with the desire to make these new experiences familiar to users.

As for my hobbies, I like taking and looking at photos even in my private life. When looking at the photos that I took yesterday, last year, or even 10 years ago, those times come back to me, and I realize that they are an important part of my memories. This is the thinking that led to this UX design.
