This product is an air purifier for Chinese and Asian markets. Using elegant curved lines inspired by the natural world, it conveys the airflow technologies that are a feature of our air purifiers so users can understand them intuitively. I undertook extensive investigations to express the functionality of the product clearly and beautifully through the power of design. I used curved glass in the outside of the product for the first time in the industry and provided clean and convenient operability to users with touch sensors. To reduce unnecessary noise to the greatest extent possible, I also concentrated efforts on the handle and back design, and I sought to create a product that is beautiful from every angle. Moreover, I incorporated unique emotive illumination so that users can intuitively check the state of the air in the room.
I believe that the work of design is to express the functionality and features of a product clearly and communicate this to users in an appealing manner. Considering the users, I always think about the extent to which I can convey the concepts I develop when I am investigating designs. As a designer, I am most happy when users understand them intuitively.
