外食向け搬送ロボットXF-ZZ059

2018年３月ミッドタウン日比谷に、厨房から客席へ料理を届ける搬送ロボットが導入されました。当初は恐る恐るロボットに近づいていたスタッフが、１週間後には、店名にちなんで「Ｑちゃん」と愛称で呼ぶほど、その存在は環境に馴染んでいました。

Since March 2018, a transport robot that delivers food to customers from the kitchen has been put into operation at Midtown Hibiya. A staff member who had initially approached the robot with great wariness was calling it by the nickname “Q-chan,” a moniker based on the restaurant name, just a week later. In that time, it had steadily become a part of the restaurant community.

目指したのは「人とロボットが自然に協働」できる関係です。
Ｑちゃんが働く現場に何度も足を運び、一緒に働くスタッフさんや、おもてなしするお客様との関係を考察し、初めて使う人でも操作に抵抗がないよう、操作画面や動きをデザインしました。また、導入される飲食店の雰囲気に合わせながらも、お客様がＱちゃんの存在に気づくような走行音やアナウンスにしています。「Ｑちゃん」という呼び声が聞こえた時は、私たちが目標とする関係に近づいた気がして、とても嬉しかったです！

What we sought was a relationship in which “Cooperation between humans and robots”.

I visited the location where Q-chan would work many times and investigated the relationships among the staff that work together and the customers they serve, and I designed the robot with movement and an operation screen that people would feel comfortable using even the first time. Moreover, since it would be introduced to a restaurant, I considered the atmosphere of the business as I gave Q-chan operation sounds and announcements so the customers would be aware of it. When I hear someone calling “Q-chan,” I feel that the relationship is approaching the one I sought and am very happy.

最近はまっているのは、ジンジャーエール。いろんな種類を飲んだ結果一番美味しいと感じたフェンティマンスというジンジャービア（エール）の味を再現しようと、日々試行錯誤しています。砂糖やイーストを組み替えながら自分好みのジンジャーエールを探求するのが楽しいです。

Recently, I have been obsessed with ginger ale. After trying many types, I feel that the best tasting one is a ginger beer (ale) called Fentimans. Every day I experiment to try to re-create this flavor. Trying different combinations of sugar and yeast, I enjoy the pursuit of ginger ale that matches my taste.
