Have you ever seen the inside of a multifunction printer? The inside of an MFP… is even more complicated than expected! Numerous specialist engineers are involved in carrying out the development of the inside, which is comprised of various structures large and small. Their skills relate to the engine, fixing, processing, copying, paper feeding, conveyance, scanning, imaging, electrical, supplies, options and more. I feel that combining these into a single product is the real pleasure of MFP design. In recent years, along with changes in ways of working, the demand is for office equipment that is compact, simple and easy on people in terms of both appearance and usability. For this reason, I set “Abandon the uneven forms of the past and create a square and simple exterior” as a development goal and got the agreement of everyone involved in the design. Aimed toward this single vision, everyone applied their skills to creating a structure that usually tends to become complex. We advanced the BP-20C25 to be stylish and easy to use, and I hope you enjoy its design.
On my days off, I am a weekend angler, hopping between seas in the east and west. My heart and mind are refreshed by feeling the air in nature and interacting with people from a wide range of generations through fishing. More than anything, this becomes a driving force toward new challenges.
