Bridges between customers and Sharp

I am responsible for trade show booth design and the unified master design of Sharp websites. Spatial design and web design might be thought to be completely different fields, but they actually have many aspects in common. These aspects include the following.

The first for both is the creation of spaces that convey Sharp to customers. The second is design that makes people feel it is “true to Sharp” at a glance regardless of the type of content. The third is gathering opinions that are rich in individuality from within the company and transforming them into a single form using the abilities of everyone involved in the project. Considering these roles, there are things that can and cannot be changed, so I have been struggling, learning and working with “continuity and evolution” as the theme every day and through the years.

In addition to communication design, I undertake a variety of other work. This includes manuals and movies as well as the creation of future development models. That I can do such a variety is the boon of acquiring diverse experiences until now. After working at an architecture office, a freelance design office and a display-making company, Sharp is my fourth company. Taken one by one, I have thought that they seem unrelated. Looking back, however, I can say, “In life, not a single thing is a waste. Everything becomes useful somewhere.” I want to continue moving forward with a feeling of “purifying the mind each day.”
